Jerez in the south of Spain sets the stage for thrilling motorsport action at the 2025 Spain MotoGP, which takes place at the Gran Premio de Espana (Circuito de Jerez).
Opened in 1985, the circuit hosted the first international motorcycle event in Spain and has undergone significant safety and layout changes over the years, including a new chicane (the Senna curve) at the corner where Martin Donnelly had a horrifying accident during the 1990 Spanish Grand Prix qualifiers. In 2013, it was announced that the final corner would be renamed after Spanish MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo.
